Light a Spiritual Fire with a Full-Time Evangelist in Every Church

When the Apostle Paul wrote these words to Timothy, Paul believed that his days on Earth were coming to an end. Paul wanted to help prepare Timothy to carry on the important work of taking the Good News about Jesus Christ to those who had not yet heard. As long as one person has not heard and understood about Salvation, our work as witnessing Christians isn’t done, despite the challenges we may face to do so. That’s what Paul wanted us to remember. In practice, Paul was simply reaffirming to another generation what all followers of Jesus had been commanded to do by Him: After  being saved through His grace, we must help others receive the same gift. Why was that message important in the early church? Few had heard of Jesus, and many who had heard disputed His Divine nature.Jesus knew how important this task was because it was his last direction to his eleven disciples in the book of Matthew. (See Matthew 28:19-20.) Last messages are remembered best, and our Lord was again perfect in His wisdom in choosing this message.

Christian Testimony

When Paul was still called Saul, he had a hard heart toward Jesus and the early Christians, being a leader in rebuking, punishing, and stoning them. Paul only accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior after He appeared in His blinding glory on the road to Damascus and asked Paul why he was persecuting Him. God’s plan wasn’t to repeat that method of conversion, as was evidenced by Christ sending Paul a vision of Ananias restoring Paul’s sight and then directing Ananias to perform the miracle and to baptize Paul in the Holy Spirit.Despite this clear direction and the hard work of many great pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and witnessing Christians for nearly two thousand years, a global survey today would probably show that the majority of people on Earth either don’t know about God’s promises to us or don’t believe those promises. That’s a sad commentary on how well we are following the Lord’s direction to bring His Good News to everyone. How many lost people are there compared to those who are saved? Only God knows, but the ratio is surely no more than ten to one and may well be as low as six to one. Some would argue that the 30 percent of the world’s population that identify themselves as

Christians are a larger number, but many of those self-proclaimed Christian Testimonies  have not repented of their sins and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If we equally divided names of the lost into individual lists for each Christian, there would only be six to ten names on each list. If each Christian immediately began making contacts, each lost person would hear the Good News very quickly. Some Christians would be done making first contact in a single day to their share of the lost. If these Christians repeated the contacts daily, most would have succeeded in getting the message across in a convincing way to their share of the lost within a month. As the number of Christians grew and more people joined in witnessing, the number of people for each Christian to contact would become smaller and each lost person would receive more testimonies. The combined effect of such a concentrated effort would be marvelous. Some people undoubtedly have such hard hearts that they wouldn’t receive the blessings of this heavenly information no matter how many Christian Testimony Books they heard. But the task of fulfilling God’s call to help all be saved would be as complete as Christian efforts and prayers can Witnessing Made Easy: Yes, You Can Make a Difference accomplish. Christians could then keep knocking on the hard hearts and eventually many more souls would be saved. What’s our point? If everyone does some witnessing, it’s not a big job. Why then is there so much work to be done? It’s because most Christians don’t share their faith with lost people. Many people estimate that over 90 percent of Christians have never witnessed to anyone, and most of the rest have done little witnessing. Our survey at Jubilee Worship Center (JWC) showed that the majority of church members were either doing nothing or very little before being exposed to the church’s emphasis on witnessing. Here is what one Christian woman told us about her attitudes  toward witnessing before meeting in-congregation evangelists at JWC:

I have attended church for most of my adult life and have been involved in many of the ministries of the church. I have taught Sunday School to preschoolers through adults, served as an elder, served as church secretary, served as janitor, etc., just as many other church members have done. To me, this was what church was all about, and I found great satisfaction in what I was doing. The internal workings of the church were my delight. That was all I knew.     The churches I had attended placed little or no emphasis on evangelism …. We were under the impression that anything to do with Evangelism Training was under the job description of the pastors and the missionaries. This was their duty and that’s why we hired them. We all knew that passing out tracts or tapes or whatever was for the overboard fanatics … all this was out of our scope.

Change satisfied witnessing inaction into inspired witnessing, and Christians will quickly and easily transform humanity in the ways that God intended. How do you get everyone busy witnessing? You need an in-congregation evangelist to light the fire of desire for witnessing and to fan its flames with teaching how to witness. Why do we say that? Because our survey answers showed that JWC members who responded (almost the whole congregation) became active witnesses after in-congregation evangelists were appointed.

Christian testimony includes the problems in life and their solution

You should tell your testimony by telling the problems you were facing before meeting Jesus. What was that problems and how many time you fail to solve these problems? Then you will tell that how you get closer to Jesus. What is the reason that you decided to consider Jesus for your help? At last, you should share the part of life after meeting Jesus that how Jesus change your life. You should share that how is your living going now. Evangelism is the process of campaigning faith in Christianity. In evangelism, people share the gospel for preaching the impact of Jesus on life. There are a lot of evangelism strategies that include evangelism by spreading the bibles and gospel by media or road evangelism. If you want to preach Christianity then chooses the best evangelism methods. Evangelism is the best way to describe your love and affection with god and if you want to be an evangelist then follow these evangelism ideas:

  • You should share the current situation of your life and how is your life going after knowing Jesus.

Do you remember Your day of Salvation?

My Day of Salvation!

I remember it, like it was yesterday!!

Another day, I remember like it was yesterday, happened 3 days after my day of salvation.

On that day, a man of God challenged me to write my testimony, put into a 3 fold flyer like a tract and start giving it to people in everyday life.
On that day I became an Ambassador for Christ. On that day I choose to live a witnessing lifestyle, daily letting people around me know that God had provided a way of escape from sin and that through Jesus Christ their sins could be forgiven and they could be connected to God!

What I just described is found in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 :17-21.

Every born again Christians first ministry starts in these scriptures. The moment we are saved, Jesus gives us the ministry of reconciliation. Telling sinful man how they can be forgiven and connected to God through Jesus Christ. If we are not first doing this ministry, none of our gifts and callings will be fruitful!

The day I agreed to write and use my Salvation Testimony to reach out to lost people, I also accepted my place as an Ambassador of the Kingdom of God!

As an Ambassador of God when the issues of life come against you, you stay the course and you keep telling people about Jesus!  As an Ambassador of God your all in, there is no turning back.
Your citizenship and Life are all about the Kingdom of God!
When you live as an Ambassador of Christ, you live in resurrection power! You live with a confidence of who you are in Christ! You know your purpose ! You know your mission!

As an Ambassador of the Kingdom, with Kingdom responsibilities  you stay focused on Kingdom business!

What’s My Ministry??

Are Christians doing other forms of ministry, such as; deacons, elders, worship team, ushers, childcare, day care ministry, youth ministry, senior ministry, women’s ministry, men’s ministry, audio video and sound ministry, parking lot ministry, maintenance ministry, janitor and security exempt (excused) from being a witness for Jesus?

Are apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers exempt (excused) from being a witness for Jesus?

2nd Corinthians 5:17-18.     Therefore, if anyone  is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

To reconcile means to put something that was once one, that was torn apart  back together again.

Man was created to be with God. Man sinned and his relationship with God was torn apart, severed or split. But God had a plan, that sinful man could be reconnected to Him, that their relationship could be restored or put back together by Jesus Christ.Once a man’s relationship is restored,  the man is then given the ministry of helping other men connect to God by telling them what Jesus Christ has done for them. The ministry of reconciliation belongs to everyone that has been reconciled to God.At the moment a person is born again or saved the ministry of reconciliation, telling man how to connect to God through Jesus Christ belongs to that new believer.

So, the first calling the first responsibility of every Christian is to the ministry of reconciliation. (Being involved in other forms of ministry does not change or stop your first calling!)The first calling of an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher is also to the ministry of reconciliation!!This calling, this responsibility started the moment they were born again and this responsibility stays with them in their callings of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher!!!   This first calling to the ministry of reconciliation never changes or ends!!Obedience to this first calling will enhance and help make their 5 fold ministry calling more fruitful!!

The Bible says He is no respecter of persons

I was born the youngest of five children. My sisters and brothers were much older than me. My father died when I was two years old. My mother worked very hard as a waitress, often times, at two different restaurants to support us. My brothers left for the Air Force right out of high school. My sisters helped a lot around the house and were very good to me. However, I was influenced as a small child by their peers to use alcohol and pot.

From a young age, I was very spoiled. I was used to getting anything that I wanted. My mother would give me material things to make up for being gone. There were no rules set and no one to discipline me. My behavior was out of control, and I was expelled from two private elementary schools.

When I was 11 years old, my mom was remarried and we moved to a new home. Shortly after, my step father took his own life. This tragic event left me alone again while my mother was working. I was hanging with the wrong crowd, mostly older kids, at the local pool hall. I began gambling, drinking, light drug use, smoking, and having sex. I even began selling drugs to other kids. I lost all interest in school and only desired to become a pro pool player and party with my friends.

I dropped out of high school after 9th grade. My interest was in staying out all night with friends. Often, I did not come home. I began to get in trouble with the law and ended up in jail on more than one occasion. I was placed on juvenile probation, and I spent time in drug rehab. I would have violent fits of anger at home and would either get kicked out or run away. I slept at friends’ houses, at hotels, and in cars. I even spent many nights sleeping outside when I had nowhere else to go. I worked off and on doing construction and other jobs to make money, but I never stayed on the same job for long.

When I was 19, I pulled into a car lot with a girl I was dating and acted like I was going to buy a car. The sales manager was a man by the name of Roland. I did not know at the time, but he was also a minister. I didn’t have two nickels to rub together, and I did not buy a car. I did, however, convince him to give me a job as a car salesman. I was eager to learn this new profession, and it seemed to be a perfect fit. Just like playing pool for money, I got a rush out of selling cars and a feeling of self-worth and accomplishment in doing it.

There was a lot of downtime at that little car lot, so besides teaching me about the car business, Pastor Roland begin to share his faith in God with me. It was the first time I was exposed to the Word of God, and Roland was the first example of a real Christian man that I had ever encountered.

Soon after I started working, I was invited to a “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames” play at a local church. I answered the altar call for salvation. At 19 years old, standing there in that church, I felt the presence of God like never before. The Holy Spirit convicted me that I was a horrible sinner and in need of a savior. I repented and asked Jesus to come into my heart. I got saved! I was very excited and couldn’t wait to tell people what had happened! I went to church on and off for a period of time, and I began to read the Bible. I claimed to be a Christian, but like the fig tree there was no fruit. Because of my own selfish, fleshly desires I slid away from God and went back to a destructive lifestyle. 1 Corinthians 10:12 “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall”. real life stories.

I was confident in my sales ability, and I applied at a large volume car dealership in Chicago. The excessive amount of money I made there contributed to cycles of partying. Girls, bars, and drugs were the nightly norm. I became heavily addicted to cocaine and other hard drugs. I would make up elaborate stories to get women to sleep with me. I told so many lies; I didn’t even know who I really was. Soon my cocaine addiction turned into a crack addiction. I hopped from car dealership to car dealership. I lost jobs, ruined relationships, and almost overdosed on drugs several times. The long hours and partying were beginning to take their toll. A door was opened in my career to be a traveling car salesman for big event sales. I had all the right connections to become very successful by the world’s standards. I had multi-millionaire investors that helped me start profitable businesses, but I always messed up, blew the money, and lost my focus.

My career led me to Arkansas where I met the love of my life. Right off the bat, she said, “You don’t have to lie to me.” She knew who I was. I did not have her fooled because she was living the same life that I was. She truly loved and accepted me for who I really was! I shared my faith in God with her, and on occasion we would attend church. We had a son together, but I soon turned to crystal meth. At some point, my girlfriend had enough. She began to seek the Lord through His Word and cry out to Him for help. She felt like the Lord told her to pack up and move us back to my hometown in Indiana.

We did move to Indiana but continued to take prescription drugs. My girlfriend had an Adderall overdose, and she called the police. The next thing I knew, the state was present and they took our kids away from us. My girlfriend’s daughter was sent to her dad in Arkansas, and my son was sent to my mother’s house for almost a year. We got married, and my wife submitted herself to God. She was set free of drugs indefinitely. I continued drug use when I was away on business. Two days before the state returned our son, I had a drug relapse. By the grace of God, my son was returned to my wife.

A few months later I flew to Seattle, Washington on a business trip. While I was there, I had an overwhelming urge to get high. I found a place where I could buy crystal meth. I borrowed a business

associate’s rental car then went to purchase the drug. I had a horrible feeling inside that this was all wrong and I should definitely not do it. The urge was too strong, and what happened next completely changed my life. I proceeded to get high and almost instantly felt the presence of evil all around me. I was scared and paranoid. I drove through the Canadian border thinking that it was a toll plaza. I ended up in a high speed pursuit with police chasing me from every side. I ran from them for miles. The police stopped my car with road spikes. They broke all the windows out of the car, violently pulled me out, and held me at gunpoint. It was only by the grace of God that I was not killed that night!

The Canadian police took me to the hospital. The doctors had to medicate me to slow down my heartrate. They told me I was lucky that I did not overdose. I spent the night in the hospital, and then the police escorted me to the local jail. There I was alone, in complete despair, facing several felony charges and the loss of my family. I remember feeling guilty for all the bad things I had done in my life and all I had put my wife and family through. Here I was locked up in a jail cell, in a foreign country, while my wife was at home pregnant with our daughter! I fell to my knees and cried to the Lord wholeheartedly. I repented and asked God for forgiveness. I promised Him that if He would once again get me out of this mess, I would serve Him every day for the rest of my life. This time, I meant it! A couple of days later, I went to court and found favor with the judge. They released me, and I flew home.

I became a completely new creation! 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.”

This time, I meant business! When I got home I finally held to my word with God. After years of rebellion and chasing after my own selfish desires, I gave up. I surrendered my will over to God and began to wholeheartedly seek His will for my life. I changed my job, the places I hung out, and the people that I spent time with. I separated myself from anyone who was living a sinful lifestyle. I surrounded myself with people who loved God and kept themselves from sin. I prayed, read the Bible, and went to church regularly. I grew to love

God gospel tracts and to know Him as the loving father that I had always been searching for My own heart’s desires began to change from the selfish pursuit of obtaining material wealth to the desire to serve God and to serve others at all costs. My entire outlook on life has changed. I have come to realize that everything I went through in life was to bring God glory and to testify of His greatness, His mercy, and His grace. I am grateful that the Lord never left me. He stood by my side through every storm in life, and I know for certain now that He always will be by my side. The Bible says that God will never leave you nor forsake you.

Years have gone by, and I am completely set free from all addictions. I no longer live in the bondage of sin. God has not only restored all that I lost in life, He has added every single blessing that you can imagine. I share my life with a beautiful, loyal, loving woman who also shares the same desire to serve God. My wife is my best friend and soulmate. We have been blessed with two happy, healthy children. Our house is full of love and definitely full of God. Everyone that has known me can see a tremendous positive transformation in my life, and I praise God for that!

My career is going better than ever, and we have been blessed financially. God always prospers everything that my hand is put to do. Since making Jesus Christ the Lord of my life, things have never been better, and I truly lack nothing! Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

If you’re reading this, it is definitely not by chance. God does everything for a reason! God loves you no matter where you have been or what you have done. He desires to have a relationship with you! God wants to set you free right now so that you can walk with him in the fullness of life for eternity. John 8:36 “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” Everything God did for me, He will definitely do for you! The Bible says He is no respecter of persons! Your story in life may not be exactly like mine, but I know one thing for sure, God will meet you right where you are. Your life will never again be the same! God loves you!

Call out to Him now. Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Call out to Jesus now. He is waiting for you. Pray this simple prayer, and mean it from your heart. God will forgive all of your sins, and you will not die but will live forever!

“Dear Jesus, right now I ask You to be my Lord and Savior. I believe You are the Son of God! I believe that You died on the cross, and that on the third

Neighborhood Evangelism Ideas

I Was a Workaholic and Raceaholic- Stories Of Hope

I was brought up learning about God in the Catholic religion, as was my grandparents, aunts and uncles who were very strong Catholics. I was sprinkled as an infant and went to Catholic school in the first and second grades. I couldn’t conform to it so after this I went to public school. My parents made sure I received my first communion and the confirmation of my faith, but that was about as far as it went. I always knew God was real and anytime I was knocked to my knees, I knew there was a God to pray to. I just didn’t want to submit or commit my life to walking with Him at a personal level.

I led a very troubled teen and wild adolescent lifestyle with alcohol, drugs, and smoking in front of my parents at a young age. I was very rebellious, yet a hard worker. I knew how to manipulate people; I just always ran life the way I would have it. I always was searching for the next challenge or high. I started racing cars at a young age, snowmobiles and even boats later on. I did anything for a quick high. I was a spoiled little rich kid. My father was in the boat business and had a very successful business which was volatile with ups and downs of the recreation RV business. I was brought up a very poor steward of resources. We had money that did not help us; it actually caused us issues from being able to buy the alcohol, drugs and racing toys. I led a very fast lifestyle. It never brought me any lasting joy; it only brought a lot of misery and tragedy in my life.

At age 18, a young gal that I was dating was killed in my presence because we were in a place where we shouldn’t have been. We were not supposed to be there, and a drunk driver hit us. I had time to pray a lot when I lost her and knew there was a God, but again, I didn’t submit and didn’t commit to be all in with God. I went through a divorce in my late 30’s. I had two sons that were not brought up knowing much Bible truth and I feel very sad that I was not the parent that they needed. I was a workaholic and a raceaholic. I was too busy for them and that’s one of the reasons I went through a divorce. I am a truck driver and that’s not a good field for marriage because of the separation of being gone all the time. I went through a divorce and bankruptcy. That’s when I really got back to my knees and did a lot of praying at that time, but again, I didn’t submit yet.

Yet I knew I needed to make a solid commitment to Jesus – to let Him become Lord over all of my life. I needed to let go of demanding my right to make my own decisions without including Him in my decision making (with the hope of Him blessing those decisions of course). I can remember pulling to the side of the road and praying a sinner’s prayer with James Dobson after listening to a Focus on the Family message. After that, I got involved in a church and the very first class they put me in was a finance class; they showed me how I needed to tithe (Honoring the Lord with the first fruits of my income, so He could bless the remaining ninety percent). I had race cars and race boats, but I sure couldn’t afford to give ten percent of my income to that church. I had too much money, but God took care of that a short time later, and there again it was a submission issue.

I met my current wife at the age of 40. She was a career woman in the golf course country club business and I was in the boat business. We wanted to have a Christian wedding. She was brought up Reformed. I knew that we had to have God in the midst of our relationship. She never had any children, and wanted to have a child with me. I failed miserably at raising my own two boys because I didn’t have the Lord in my life. We knew if we were going to do this, we were going to have to bring our child up in a Christian environment, so we committed to that in our marriage right from the beginning. God blessed us with a church family; a small non-denominational church that really walked with us. I was still a Christian Truck Drivers and in the boating business; my wife was managing the country club at the time when she got pregnant. It was tough for us to go to church but we did, because we were committed to it. Again, we struggled with being involved in church and getting filled so we could be a blessing, but God took care of that. He brought me out of the boating business and into truck driving full-time. My wife’s country club actually closed its doors and became a public golf course, so she was out of that business.

Eventually we started looking for a new home church. We were blessed to find a church that taught the balanced Word of God, and taught the absolute importance of having a daily, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, inviting and allowing Him to be LORD of our lives – every DAY – every HOUR of the day. We were baptized at that church about 6 months later; both of us fully immersed and came up out of that water a new spiritual creation — hungry for Jesus and the Word. We haven’t looked back since. For those yearning to be connected properly to God, there can only be one Truth and one way to God; not multiple. Satan has brainwashed many to believe there are multiple ways … [as long as true Christianity isn’t the ONE you chose!]. Jesus is that only way, truth, and life. He’s the only One who paid the penalty for our sins to be totally forgiven, so they won’t be held against us on the Judgment Day, so we would not have to pay for them by suffering for eternity in hell like others who reject the free gift of eternal salvation that He offers to everyone. I pray that others would find that same truth and that more would be transformed by the Word and the Holy Spirit setting them free from the sin that separates them from God. God’s unconditional love (unconditional acceptance) once we are connected with Christ — the peace that surpasses all understanding and joy unspeakable He gives us is real. I’ve found a lot of things that brought temporary and unfulfilling happiness in my life. I’ve been very blessed and spoiled rotten, but nothing else brings the lasting joy of serving the Lord and seeing others come to know His saving grace. Nothing else brings the satisfaction of pouring your life into helping reach lost souls, and then helping them grow in their relationship with the Lord, because engaging in these activities is what blesses God the most in how we live our lives, and we not only bring HIM joy, but we will reap eternal blessings.

Several years ago God called me to become a chaplain for the Testimony Book of Transport For Christ. Even though it took me a long time to come to Christ, along that journey I had stopped in other trucker chapels over the years when I was trucking. I would pick up a devotional, CD, had some fellowship, or just cried and prayed. It’s just a blessing that these Truck Drivers Ministries are out there for truckers that can’t get to a home church, or have a hard time finding a church they are comfortable with. God has also called me to network with other truck drivers in distributing Christian literature for truckers to freely have at various truck stops around the nation. Our primary focus is to make free Bibles available for the truckers, but we also place other trustworthy Christian literature in truck stops for them as well.
